What is Echoed?
Echoed is an alternative to Discord, offering clear voice communication, text channels, and file sharing. Built on the Tauri framework, it uses minimal resources. It caters to gamers and academics, providing a platform for seamless collaboration. Users can structure conversations by topic through text channels, with unlimited channel creation, rich text formatting, and emojis. Thread replies help maintain organized discussions. The platform supports high-quality audio and video communication, screen sharing, and adjustable audio/video settings.
Echoed also has direct messaging features for private conversations, including file sharing, read receipts, and typing indicators. It enhances messaging with reactions, replies, and video & audio calls. Task management tools allow users to create, assign, and track tasks. Echoed also features a calendar for scheduling events and meetings, with support for creating specific or recurring events and timezone-aware scheduling.

Comments and Reviews
So, this feels more like a Guilded alternative imo. The services offered are great, a basic suite of daily needs. Video calling, media embedding, permission management, etc.
The UI is horrible though and offers no customization. The local app offers no options what-so-ever and overall things feel very limited.
I think if they make progress in those areas within the next year they should start seeing a lot more attentions and adoption.
