What is zkanji?
zkanji is a free and open-source study tool and dictionary of the Japanese language. It has several useful features for beginners and advanced students alike. Dictionary, example sentences, kanji search and information with animated stroke order diagrams, vocabulary list printing, study functions and much more.
Comments and Reviews
This is the most feature-full program for learning Japanese that I found. The interface is very coherent and the pop-up dictionary is an extremely useful feature. It's no longer being updated, but frankly there's hardly any need for the new versions. Works fine - stable and lightweight.
You can also find some additional dictionary files for it if you browse the web a bit.
