Comments and Reviews
Pro: I like the simplicity and the .webp (and other new formats) handling in this gap filling app.
Con: It's not the most stable yet. It cannot really handle the different file types conversion at once and so on.
Verdict: This will be a great app once they polish out the hesitancy.
Alternative: If you want a batch converter with advanced editing features (resize, rotate, crop, canvas, color depth, watermark, border and other adjustments), you can use FastStone Photo Resizer (but there is no .webp there).
Hello, thank you for your review. I'm the developer.
Output folders are created If they don't exist, so maybe it's about permissions. I will investigate this bug.
I use this to convert all my pictures which is are a lot to lossless .jxl format it does takes some time but it does the job perfectly.
it let me convert to jpeg xl and back from jpg files, and most important is one of the few software at that moment that recognize and manage jpegxlformat. One of the best!!
This app does what it says. I ran thousands of jpegs through it and converted them to lossless jpeg xl. I also used a hash check to make sure nothing was lost in transcode, and it all checked out.
It keeps things simple, is effective at what it does, and doesn't require a large install, a super fast computer, or anything fancy. Just install, check your settings, add files, and convert.
I've got to say, I'm impressed. Was looking for something offline, something that can convert to webp and this does the job and more. Even resized according to resolution and then converted. Use this before you upload to your website to ensure performance.
