I was under the impression that this app no longer works on OS X Yosemite but after a little digging around online, I found that unchecking "Window under the start of the gesture determines the application" makes Chrome work with xGestures.

What is xGestures?

xGestures brings mouse gestures to all aspects of Mac OS X. Use xGestures to add normal directional mouse gestures and rocker gestures to the Finder, Safari, any of your favorite applications, or to the entire system as a whole.

Actions that can be performed by gestures include closing and minimizing windows, launching and switch applications, picking menu items, performing keystrokes, triggering Exposé, and much more!

Note: I am not actively developing xGestures any longer, though I will probably make sure it continues to function in the latest version of macOS. As of macOS 10.15 it still seems to work! (Indeed a fix for macOS 11.5.2 and Monterey can be found on his blog)

Due to not having the time to actively develop it anymore, xGestures is now freeware. Thanks to all of the people who paid for the application previously and supported me over the years!
