Writer's Blocks

Similar to a board of index cards or post-it notes, it allows you to write in and move around small individual, expandable notes set out in columns. Then you can export that into a manuscript.

WARNING: This app will lose your data. (OVERVIEW REVIEW) .............................................................................................................................. Despite it's ample potential, dollar for dollar this is the worst program I've ever used. Worst thing: it loses data:

I once lost ALL of my cards ("blocks"). The text in amost every 'block' was lost, and the headings replaced with the generic numbers the program assigns before you write a heading It DOESNT HAVE UNDO for things like DELETE - unbelievably I've lost data in numerous other ways using the program .............................................................................................................................. The app is difficult to use. It's not intuitive. You have to really hunt down processes on the ribbon. Two examples: You have to create a new block using CTRL-A (Not control N mind you)...Yet it would be alot easier to double-click on the canvass To expand a block to edit it, you have to go to the ribbon. Why not just double-tap on the block? .............................................................................................................................. The developer is not responsive to feedback. This may be the root of the problem. When I pointed out some bugs, they said in essence: "If you don't like it, we can just refund you" .............................................................................................................................. There are other bugs. It often doesn't do what you would expect from a particular feature. Just one example: AUTO-ARRANGE blocks. When you write in a new block, it will expand and cover the block below it. You would think that AUTO-ARRANGE means that when you've FINISHED, the blocks would automatically arrange themselves, moving both blocks out of the way of each other. But no, the block just sits there, covering the other block. You have to manually hit an 'arrange' button! Since it can clearly DO that, why not automatically do it when you finish with that block? This is just one of at least a dozen things I encountered that are either flat-out bugs or features just not operating in the way you'd expect. .............................................................................................................................. Worst of all: despite all this, the app is very expensive. At $150, I expect a Rolls Royce, not a Bentley without a seat-belt that breaks down all the time. Wouldn't developers be better off starting with a humble price until they've ironed out bugs? By charging a high price from the start, you just create anger - and bad reviews! .............................................................................................................................. SEE COMMENTS for a long list of problems, which I will try to regularly update.

Discontinued. Also unusable for anyone who purchased the app because it requires a connection to the server in order to be activated. The site has been down for months. You can't email customer service. The phone number is discontinued. No way to activate purchased software.
