The tool determines the upload and download speeds, jitter, and ping by measuring the number of acknowledgments received and the time it takes for an acknowledgment to arrive.On the other hand, requesting certain test packets from the server allows for the computation of download speed. The download speed is determined by counting the packets received in a second.
