I have not tried WeasyPrint, but it should be noted that it does not and will not support JavaScript as it does not use a browsing engine, like WebKit, as its backbone. This does make it much more secure for printing un-trusted content but it does limit usecases.

It allows me to generate a PDF exactly as I want, using CSS and HTML to typeset my book, in ways browser-based solutions (like wkhtmltopdf) can't handle. It's a PDF converter explicitly meant for print media. I'll be anxiously watching the project develop, and add more useful features.
