Simple, portable, dark theme, I don't need more
This is my go-to YouTube downloader! It does individual videos as well as playlists and channels. Even does videos from other sites! It's fast, fast, fast! Compared to how slow Youtube-dl has become! And it's so simple and convenient to use! I love it!
The new auto-import from clipboard is great too! I download lots of channels off of Youtube. The Auto-import feature removes 3 out of 4 clicks in the process. Saves me tons of clicks! The export download list function used to crash a lot but it works much more reliably now.
The one thing that's puzzling is that it felt really slow restarting channel downloads, doing so from the beginning. Turns out it has overwrite previous files set as the default! You need to set it to skip already downloaded files. Skip-previous-downloads really aught to be the default. After changing that setting it works exactly like how I want it to!
The only obvious feature that feels missing is the ability to write a description file. Lots of videos have generic titles and sometimes have helpful information in the descriptions.
That and appending the unique video ID to the end of the files you download off of Youtube would be great. Being able to copy/paste the handle to reference the original video page and access it's comments, channel, and links is handy.
Does what it's supposed to and provides authorization feature, which allows downloading from sites such as O'Reilly learning.
