What is VestibularVision?

VestibularVision is a professional measurement and visualisation platform designed to assess visual deviations and vestibular-related visual effects. It provides precise, reproducible measurement data and clear visual models to support clinical evaluation and interpretation.

Built on established scientific and clinical knowledge from optics and vestibular medicine, the app translates this foundation into a practical tool for professional use. It is intended for specialists working at the intersection of vision and balance, including eye care professionals, ENT and otoneurology specialists, vestibular therapists, and other clinicians. The system integrates smoothly into multidisciplinary workflows, supporting objective measurement and visualisation of visual–vestibular interaction.

Key features include: • Diplopia offset measurement with interactive alignment and real-time numerical output. • Prism calculation based on measured deviation, object distance, and direction. • Effective visual field visualisation based on prism correction and lens diameter, with context relative to WHO reference thresholds.

The app includes a comprehensive in-app manual covering measurement principles, theoretical background, and interpretation frameworks, along with additional technical resources via integrated web access.

VestibularVision enables static, non-invasive measurements that do not depend on reflex asymmetry, making it suitable for cases involving bilateral or symmetrical vestibular dysfunction. Measurements can be applied to both optical and vestibular-related visual effects, with or without manifest diplopia.

The system supports accurate measurement, structured documentation, and clear communication between professionals while leaving clinical interpretation fully with the user.
