What is Ventoy?
Ventoy is an open source tool to create bootable USB drive for ISO files. With ventoy, you don't need to format the disk again and again, you just need to copy the iso file to the USB drive and boot it. You can copy many iso files at a time and ventoy will give you a boot menu to select them (screenshot). Both Legacy BIOS and UEFI are supported in the same way. 200+ ISO files are tested (list). A "Ventoy Compatible" concept is introduced by ventoy, which can help to support any ISO file.
- 100% open source (license)
- Simple to use (Get started)
- Fast (limited only by the speed of copying iso file)
- Directly boot from iso file, no extraction needed
- Legacy + UEFI supported in the same way
- UEFI Secure Boot supported (since 1.0.07+) Notes
- ISO files larger than 4GB supported
- Native boot menu style for Legacy & UEFI
- Most type of OS supported, 200+ iso files tested
- Not only boot but also complete installation process
- ISO files can be listed in List mode/TreeView mode Notes
- "Ventoy Compatible" concept
- Plugin Framework
- Readonly to USB drive during boot
- USB normal use unafftected
- Data nondestructive during version upgrade
- No need to update Ventoy when a new distro is released

Comments and Reviews
This software is very handy ! No more need to redo your key again and again to install a single ISO in Legacy OR UEFI: Install Ventoy on the USB stick once and copy all the ISO's you want in it (Operating systems, diagnostic tools and so on...) The extra feature is that the software formats the USB Flash Drive for both UEFI and Legacy boot menus.
idk it`s mybad my windows full f$$ed and turn to dead for a while ?!?
How did you manage to do that?
Ventoy has been discovered to be using fake root certificates to load untrusted kernel drivers in a package that includes a variety of virustotal positives. There isn't a legitimate reason to be writing malware-looking, malware-behaving software, so that's what it is.
It's not Ventoy, but iVentoy (the open source part in the PXE repository), and the developer has explained why he's using an unsigned kernel drive. He's also released a new version later that removed the signed httpdisk driver file and doesn't load the CA anymore.
Do you find it compelling that he uses malware obfuscation techniques and malware loading techniques to bypass security controls to inject undisclosed code and his explanation is that the software is also written by him but the name is 1 letter different so it doesn't count? Like what is a red flag for you if that isn't making the cut
Not saying it's not bad, but you left your review on the wrong software, it's about
iVentoy.
able to put multiple bootable ISO on single USB drive, which rufus unable to do
As a tool, its great. It's reliable and does what it is supposed to do.
However, it is not fully open source as it contains a growing number of pre-compiled BLOBs, more then 100 at this point in time. Given the high sensitivity of an OS install, I cannot recommend using it, especially in a professional environment.
It's so convenient to not have to reformat your USB for every use. You can keep multiple programs on the same drive or simply cut/copy/paste them on & off as needed. In the initial setup you can also chose the partition space you want and leave the rest to reformat however you want and continue using as a separate partition. So, it's nice to also be able to set that as the storage for your log files, etc. as your using the .iso program; e.g. if you're using recovery software, etc.
One of the most perfect software.
The functionality is all I ever wanted during more than 20 years
Frankly, to this date it's a nobrainer. There's no competitor, and the only case where you want to use another bootable USB creator is if you meet compatibility issue.
