What is USB Analyzer?
USB Analyzer is a monitoring tool for USB port activities on Windows systems. It intercepts, displays, records, and analyzes data transmitted between applications and devices via USB ports. This data is crucial for software coding, testing, and optimization, making the tool vital for software application development, USB device drivers, and hardware. USB Analyzer provides an overview of all USB devices in the system, detecting devices in real-time for monitoring.
The tool enables multiple sessions for simultaneous port monitoring, capturing all outgoing and incoming data, as well as IRPs, URBs, IOCTLs that pass through a USB device stack. The collected data can be displayed as a raw hex dump or in a decoded, readable format. It also includes dynamic filters, a search function, markers for captured data, and an automatic switch between corresponding outgoing and incoming packages. The data can be stored in a binary file and exported in formats like TXT, CSV, XML, json, or HTML. USB Analyzer is compatible with USB 3.0 devices and USB root hubs.
