What is universeOS?
The universeOS is a browser-based web operating system which means we are trying to get all the functions of an operating system on a website without the disadvantage of being bound to a computer, because you are able to organise your information from every browser in the world. The main advantage of the universeOS is the fact that it is not only an operating system but also a pool of information. Everyone has the possibility to upload, rank and comment files of the public Filesystem. Furthermore, the security and anonymity of our users is really important to us. Nothing is safed local except for the cookies, but just in case you want to. The security is given by a password protected encryption for every single item (text, document, file and so on). This means even we -and we are really nice guys- cannot read what you are doing.
On the one hand, the universeOS creates a portal on which it is possible to organise, concentrate and allocate the public with files and media. On the other hand, the universeOS is a broad social network with independent acting groups, profiles, comments, scoring and many other different functions.

I think that this cloud operating systems in any case constitute forward for standard user. The idea to file a public system with a private file system I see it as very beneficial and rebolutionär. Of course, a site like this can only work with a large community. But these guys are on the right way! And then also all open source, there are five stars from me! *****
I find the project and the whole idea behind it fantastic! I have followed the changes to the site in the last few months and am thrilled with the increase in usability and new features! Keep it up! :)
