Comments and Reviews
Best Mastodon client for Android so far. The interface is fast and intuitive. Unlike the official Mastodon mobile apps, Tusky also reveals the local timeline for your server. Tusky is frequently updated and quick to support new Mastodon features.
Avoid the application, the developer censors and blocks instances in the application.
If anyone is wondering what Johxz is referring to, Tusky was capable of connecting to Gab, where all the right-wingers fled after the mainstream socials started booting them out. The devs then chose to block access to Gab. However, they have stated they will never block "any Mastodon instance".
This negative comment is a right wing tantrum.
I've checked out some alternatives after several years using Tusky, and it's still my preferred Mastodon/Fediverse app. It really runs smoothly, even with multiple accounts and different server types. They recently polished the app's look, and while the differences are mostly subjective, formatting from servers that support it is a lot more legible than it used to be.
That said, Fedilab supports more non-Mastodon features, and if I used those alts more often, it might tip it over the edge.
Tusky is light, support all Mastodon features and is also very stable. Actually the best Android client for Mastodon imo
