Use Treekly to plant trees for free by walking and completing weekly challenges. Achieve 5,000 steps a day, 5 days a week to receive a free tree. The app uses your phone's pedometer or a connected fitness tracker or smartwatch to track your steps. We plant mangrove trees in Madagascar, which store 4x more carbon than tropical rainforests. Help us reach our first target of 5 million trees.
The application integrates with the Health app.
Comments and Reviews
Used this for about 6 months and love that it let me plant ~26 trees! To get it to work properly on my Android I need to leave the app open throughout the day and click on it after my steps to see the day's progress. If I miss some steps there is an option to add them by clicking 1000+
It seems encouraging for walking to help people, but for some reason, the app components load very slowly.
