trawlernet

trawlernet is a browser extension that enhances your Amazon shopping experience by filtering search results based on whether it is from a small business or country of origin. The goal of trawlernet is to save the consumer's time by filtering products and making it easier to find products based on the criteria previously mentioned.

Simply click on the extension's icon. There are two toggles. If the "Filtering" toggle is slid to the right, filtering is enabled. Slide the toggle to the left and filtering is disabled.

The next toggle indicates what is filtered. If the toggle is slid to the right, the extension will evaluate each product and determine if it is from a "Small Business" brand. If the product is NOT from a "Small Business", the products will be filtered however the product can still be selected.

If the toggle is slid to the left, the "Country Filter", the extension will display a list of countries. Simply select which country or countries the product should originate from.

If the product is from one of the countries selected, the product will not be filtered. For example, if the selected countries are "United States", "Canada" and "Mexico", only those products from those countries will not be filtered. If the product is from an unselected country on the list, the product will get the standard filter. However the product is still selectable For example, if the only selected country is "Italy" and the product is from "Ireland", the product will get the standard filter. If the product is from a county which is NOT on the list or the product's origin is not provided, the product will have a filter with a yellow border. However the product is still selectable For example, if the selected country is "China" and the product is from "Paraguay", the product will get the alternate filter. Another example is if the selected country is "China" and there is no country of origin provided in the product's details, the product will get the alternate filter Remember, product origin and small business indications are done by the vendor.
