trash-cli Alternatives

trash-cli is described as 'Trashes files recording the original path, deletion date, and permissions. It uses the same trashcan used by KDE, GNOME, and XFCE, but you can invoke it from the command line (and scripts)' and is an app. There are three alternatives to trash-cli for Mac, Linux and Windows. The best trash-cli alternative is Trash, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like trash-cli are TrashEye and rmtrash.

Put files (and directories) in trash using the trash-put command in a way that is, otherwise as trash-put itself, compatible to GNUs rm and rmdir.
