What is Tradooit?

TradooIT is a computer-assisted translation suite including a translation memory, a term bank and a bilingual concordancer.

TradooIT's public translation memory contains texts taken from legislation, government websites, international organization websites, movie subtitles, etc. TradooIT designers made every effort to include in the public memory a variety of sources that will meet language professionals' needs, no matter the field in which they work.

TradooIT's public term bank contains terms from Wikipedia and well-known term banks.

TradooIT's bilingual concordancer allows users to search strings in context in the translation memory and to find terms in the term bank. Then, it displays results in table format and highlights source language hits and their target language equivalent. It also displays statistics on different variants and translations found and allows users refine their search by filtering results based on form, source, etc. It also gives advanced users the flexibility to search on word stems and include variables in their search expressions. Finally, the concordancer provides smart features, one of which suggests searches that may be more successful in case the user gets too few results, and the other suggests a translation for the search term if there is a sufficient level of certainty.
