makes using the terminal so much smoother for someone who is (not yet?) a wizard. reduces:
number of sticky notes and digital equivalent text files you make to remind yourself how to do a task
time spent wading through manages for sophisticated programs when you just need to use a basic function
feeling like it's a waste of time because you will never memorize all this stuff
of course the man pages are still there when you need them. :)
