What is TinEye?
TinEye is a powerful image search and recognition engine that can help to find where an image came from and how it's being used. It uses a reverse image search where unique digital signatures are created for each submitted image and then compared to other indexed images to find matches.
Tineye finds exact matches, including images that have been altered (cropped, resized, etc). It typically doesn't find similar images but can find images with parts copied from other images.
COMMON USE CASES
- Locate an image's source or get more info about it.
- Find higher resolution image versions.
- Discover altered versions of an image.
- Find where your own images are being used.

Comments and Reviews
I have been using TinEye for a while now and it is very useful, better than Google Image search in my opinion which is less reliable at finding duplicate photos.
bleeding edge of reverse image search technology
superb range and speed
Better than the alternatives for some images
Used to be very useful until Google took over the work.
It's good for sure, but never used it after Google Images added "search by images" feature.
I like this service/extension.. Google recently added a similar feature to their search ("search by image" to Google Images), but I still think TinEye is good for finding higher resolution images of the searched picture..
I hope there will be more development on this kind of filtering. Google's position currently is just way too dominant. Bring on the competition!
