Timello is a staff holiday and leave management platform designed for businesses of all sizes. It replaces spreadsheets and manual tracking with a shared visual calendar, automated approvals, and real-time allowance tracking.

Key Features

  • Wallchart Calendar - A visual calendar showing your entire team's leave at a glance. Staff are grouped by department with colour-coded leave types, half-day support (AM/PM), and a scrollable 30-day view.
  • Leave Requests & Approvals - Staff request time off directly from the calendar. Requests route to designated approvers with email notifications. Managers can approve or deny with a single click, with optional reasons for denials.
  • Holiday Allowance Tracking - Set a business-wide default allowance or override per staff member. Remaining days update in real-time on the calendar. Supports custom holiday years (e.g. September to August) and configurable work days.
  • Leave Types - Comes with four defaults (Annual Leave, Sick, Compassionate, Unpaid) and lets you create custom types with your choice of 20 colours and 26 icons. Control which types deduct from allowance and which require approval.
  • Department Management - Organise staff into departments. Assign department-level approvers so leave requests route to the right manager automatically.
  • Approver Hierarchy - Flexible approval routing: assign approvers per staff member, per department, or fall back to account owners. Managers see only the requests they're responsible for.
  • Blackout Dates - Block off dates business-wide or for individual staff members to prevent leave requests during busy periods.
  • Staff On-boarding - Add staff manually or import via CSV. New team members receive an email invitation to set their password and get started immediately.
  • Alerts & Notifications - Email notifications for submitted, approved, denied, and cancelled leave requests.
