A few Chrome extensions have tried to collect surrounding area network speeds and average them, however accuracy varies widely and cannot be depended on. The Wired Nomad provides verified internet speeds (download, upload, ping, jitter). A dedicated website provides more flexibility for the user no matter the device or web browser.
The Wired Nomad also offers self-hosted VPN consultation and setup services via the Silver and Gold tiers, respectively. The Diamond Tier is for Tailscale exit node users who desire faster relayed connections using their own cloud-based custom DERP relay server for a monthly subscription fee.
