Languages covered : Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, English, Spanish, Estonian, Finnish, French, Irish, Croatian, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Latvian, Maltese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Chinese

The translations proposed on TechDico are all labeled by domain of activity: terms, synonyms, expressions and sentences of examples offering translations in context, abstract of research papers, related terms. The tool integrates a translation assistant which automatically highlights the most relevant translations for each user.

The sources of the translations proposed in TechDico come from:

  • IATE (European Commission)
  • DGT-TM - Eur-Lex-Europa.eu (texts of law from the European Parliament)
  • WIPO (international patents)
  • CJKI (glossaries in Asian languages)
  • CORE (open research papers)
  • CCMatrix (CommonCrawl – Meta)
  • and specialized multilingual dictionaries.

The translations proposed on TechDico are all labeled by field of activity: terms, expressions and sentences of examples offering translations in context. The fields of activities used are derived from the Eurovoc classification.

In addition to the bilingual translation mode, a multilingual mode allows one-click translations in several languages simultaneously.
