What is Tabbles?
Tabbles - advanced tagging system
Tabbles allows you to categorize your files/folders by placing them in as many tabbles (tag-bubbles) as you like and then find them back by remembering what that file was about and “combining” the tabbles (tabble = concept) that make you think of that file, in a natural and dynamical way. Your files and folders will NOT be moved, duplicated or messed up with. The beauty of it is the categories or Tabbles are predominantly Visuals we are accustomed to see data. Tabbles is database represented in visual form which is not offered by windows even though they started offering search results by file name and content search ( in Vista) . Tabbles offers the way we organized data in our brains and quite intuitive.

Powerful tagging program.. even does auto-tagging. Best I've seen in its category. Has it's own file explorer. Limit is 5000 files in Free Version. You can auto-tag recursively in files that have already been created as well as in newly created files. Files can be auto-tagged with help of word search in content of file. At one point, Tabbles stopped auto-tagging.. it seems that it stopped recognizing the flash drive, but logging out, back in, and repointing solved it.
I loved Tabble, but I gave up of it when realized that the database is not updates in changing a file to another folders. A little bit heavy too, but very useful.

I decided to give tabbles a pass. Although it is a good software with each upgrade bringing some great potentials, it does not suit my usage unfortunately. I would like to see some improvements of this product such as quick tagging features (it is currently quite slow to rapidly add new tags especially under a parent tag). and this post applies only to individual usage I would also like to see some improvements over UI since it is quite clunky at times. Tabbles has some great potentials but it is more equipped towards a business setting rather than for individual usage.
Awesome solution to tag files at the office, with my colleagues.!
I have used many file managers but never come across such a intuitive file tagging tool. The concepts Tabbles built is present are now scattered in many brain mapping tools, music, image and video file organizers such iTunes, Picasa, Media Monkey, Brain and many more. As it is a very sophisticated program of many levels it takes sometime to get accustomed to. As we are moving into world of free tagging from hierarchies Tabbles is an indispensable tool.
What a useful categorizing program. It has everything such a program needs. It enhances effectiveness of my work with files on my computer in very simple way using handlist and grafic-attractive interface. These are the features I appreciate the most but there's much more to take advantage of. The Tabbles has big potential because despite its quality it's still "youngster" with a lot of ways to "grow up". Great job YELLOW BLUE SOFT ! Keep it up !
