Synchronize! X Plus

I have been struggling ever since I first started using a MacBook to find a programme like Allway Sync (Windows) which would allow me to synchronize files (a) with a thumbdrive, and (b) with other computers including Windows platform via the thumbdrive.

What is Synchronize! X Plus?

I have been struggling ever since I first started using a MacBook to find a programme like Allway Sync (Windows) which would allow me to synchronize files (a) with a thumbdrive, and (b) with other computers including Windows platform via the thumbdrive.

I am now trialling QDEAs "Synchronize! X Plus" which effortlessly does a 1 or 2 way sync to thumbdrive.

As long as the thumbdrive is formatted in MS-DOS mode (which can be done with the Mac Disk Utility) it also seems to work with Allway Sync to on-sync the files to a Windows PC. Two provisos to this: Firstly, I want to try it a few more times to check there are no compatibility issues, although it seems fine so far. Secondly, you must remember that Windows and OSX computers each put different hidden system files into folders (for example ._DS and thumb.db) which can make the contents a little cluttered but this does not seem to cause problems and is not a fault of the sync program.
