What is Surikata.io?

Surikata.io is an open-source PHP-based versatile triple-box e-commerce platform free at your disposal. Feel free to download the source code and create your first online store in a few minutes.

Surikata is licensed under the GPL licence and compatible with PHP7 and PHP8.

Tripple-box

Tripple-box means that the source code of Surikata is split into three main parts:

  • The Core: For most of you is this a "do not touch" part. However, if you feel you are an experienced developer, you can contribute.
  • Plugins: This is the place where a backend developer does most of his job. Goal is to create plugins that act as controllers for the theme. PHP skills are needed.
  • Theme: A playground for the frontend developer. Based on TWIG rendering library, scripts in this part render the final HTML content of the online store. HTML/JS/CSS skills and a bit of graphical design feeling are needed.
