What is Super Smash Bros.?

Super Smash Bros. is a series of platform fighting video games published by Nintendo. Created by Masahiro Sakurai, the Super Smash Bros. series is a crossover featuring many characters from other video game series such as Mario Bros. icon Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda icon The Legend of Zelda, Metroid icon Metroid, Kirby(game) icon Kirby(game), Star Fox icon Star Fox, Pokémon icon Pokémon, with later entries featuring more works from other companies.

The goal of each fighter is to knock each other out of the stage. The more damage a fighter suffer, the stronger the knockback physics become. Later games introduce a Single-Player mode called "Subspace Emissary" in Brawl and "World of Light" in Ultimate. Another notable addition is the "Final Smashes" - by breaking a Smash Ball, a character can unleash unavoidable attack, an "Assist Trophy" which summons a non-playable character from a represented series to assist the combatant, and "Stage Builder", a Built-In Level Editor from Brawl onwards which allows the player to create custom maps.
