What is Story Estimate?
Story Estimate is an online planning poker tool built for remote and hybrid agile teams. It started as a side project in 2017 and has quietly grown into something teams around the world rely on every sprint.
The workflow is simple: the facilitator creates a session and picks a card deck: Fibonacci, T-shirt sizes, or custom values. They share a link, teammates click it, and everyone's in. No app downloads, no mandatory sign-ups for participants.
Votes are cast in private and revealed simultaneously, which keeps anchoring bias out of the equation. After the reveal, Story Estimate shows you average scores and a disagreement level (Low / Medium / High) based on the statistical spread, which is useful for knowing when a quick re-vote is worth it versus when the team is already aligned.
Sessions with up to 6 participants are free. Larger teams just need the facilitator to subscribe, everyone else still joins for free. No ads, no tracking.
