What is State Backed?

State Backed turns any state machine into a reliable, long-running workflow or a real-time, multiplayer backend. Deploy a machine in one command. Then, using the simple client library, create any number of instances, subscribe any number of clients to real-time instance state updates, and securely send events from anywhere.

Building your backend becomes as simple as visually describing your business logic. No servers to manage, persistence to deal with, or consistency to worry about - State Backed handles all of that once you define your state machines.

Connecting your client to your State Backed machines only takes 3 lines of code and you can control your persistent, invincible remote state machine instances exactly as you would a local state machine.

All instance operations are secured by simple authorization functions you control. You can allow or deny reads and events based on fully-authenticated user claims from your existing identity provider's tokens and the current state and context of the machine instance.

Because State Backed allows you to bring your own identity provider, it's easy to try out on a small project without migrating your whole codebase.
