Speex Alternatives

Speex is described as 'Patent-free audio compression format designed for speech and also a free software speech codec that may be used on VoIP applications and podcasts' and is an app. There are three alternatives to Speex for Windows, Linux, Mac, Winamp and foobar2000. The best Speex alternative is Vorbis, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Speex are Opus and TAK.
