What is Sow?

Sow is a platform that enables people to give money with meaning and save money with purpose. With a focus on helping 0-22 year olds understand the true value of money, Sow gives parents and young people the tools and inspiration to sow seeds in 3 categories: saving towards future goals, sharing with those who are less fortunate, and spending wisely on things that matter.

Sow has two primary customers: parents looking to change the way their children receive gifts and understand money, and adolescents and young adults who want to take control of the gifts they receive at various milestones in their lives like birthdays, holidays, and graduations.

By setting up a profile for themselves, a teenager or young adult can invite the people in their lives to donate money towards things like a book fund for college, or a travel fund for study abroad, rather than receiving gifts that they neither want nor use.

Parents can create Sow profiles for their children and teach them about saving towards goals, and also help their kids focus on something they might really want, like a new bike, rather than receiving things like stuffed animals that they rarely make use of.
