SoundTranscriber

Sound Transcriber, developed by the TecWindow team, converts audio and video files into text and can extract subtitles from these files. The transcriptions can be saved as .txt, .doc, or .SRT files. The software uses Google's speech recognition, OpenAi's Whisper, and Meta's wit.ai for conversion, with Google being the default. Users need an API key to use services other than Google. For Arabic language transcription, wit.ai is recommended. Users must select the language before conversion, and multi-language files may not convert accurately due to service limitations.

The software supports various file extensions for conversion. Future enhancements include translation of conversion results, spell-check functionality, and conversion of results into audio using text-to-speech engines. However, files are divided into 60-second segments before conversion, which may result in some words being lost.
