What is SmartUtils Portable Storage?
SmartUtils Portable Storage is an unique and powerful tool for creation of secure portable storages that are fully managed and independent from the main program.
All your data is stored in a single executable file that can be saved on a USB flash drive, PC, laptop or transfered via e-mail or Skype. You do not need to install any software or have administrator privileges to use a container therefore your data is always available.
SmartUtils Portable Storage allows your to reduce file sizes with flexible compression and keep them completely secure with military-grade AES-256 encryption.
Using this application you can create:
- Fully managed storage file that is independent from the main application. You can view, add, edit, update, delete and extract files and folders
- Read-only managed storage which content can be only viewed and extracted
- Common self-extracting archive. You can only extract all its content at once. Such archive can be modified using the main application.
Use cases and advantages:
- Replace applications for USB flash drives encryption that require administrator privileges to work.
- Protect confidential files with strong military-grade encryption. We support AES algorithm which is de facto encryption standard.
- Reduce files size and backup sensitive data. You don't need to find and install old software to access backed up data in the future.
- View and choose folders and files that you need to decrypt and extract. Self-extracting archive in not a "blackbox" anymore.
