What is SitePulse?
Small business owners know their website is important, but keeping track of everything—page speed, broken links, expiring SSL certificates—is a hassle. Most of the available performance tools are built for developers and are filled with technical jargon that regular site owners don't have time to decipher.
They just want to know: "Is my site fast? Is it secure? Are there any broken links?"
To solve this, I built SitePulse.
How it works:
You enter your website URL once. The backend runs a weekly automated scan (checking Performance, SEO best practices, Security, and Accessibility). It generates a clean, human-readable PDF report and emails it to you every Monday morning. It translates metrics into plain business language, making it easy to see exactly what needs to be fixed or sent to a web developer. It also alerts you before your SSL certificate expires.
The Tech Stack: I built it using React, Express, PostgreSQL, BullMQ (Redis), and Puppeteer for running the audits and generating the PDFs.
