What is ScriptX by MeadCo?
With ScriptX the print settings for any browser can be scripted for specific documents so that printed output is always identical. The same margins, header and footer strings, orientation, scale, paper size and source, target printer, etc., for all types of printing. Applications can print precisely formatted content with no print dialog needing to be displayed. Typical usage would be printing of labels and badges in the healthcare and transportation sectors.
ScriptX.Services runs as a web server behind a web API which can run on a user's local computer or on a network server as well as being available in the cloud for free printing to PDF. ScriptX.Services will work with any modern browser client on any operating system running on any device. ScriptX.Add-on is an ActiveX control for Internet Explorer versions 6-11. A set of javascript libraries enables code to be written that will address either version, whichever is available to the client. Alternatively the ScriptX.Services REST API can be addressed directly.
