What is Scrimba?
Scrimba is a new way of teaching and learning how to code. We call it interactive code screencasts. Here’s why it's a great way of learning.
-
Pause and interact with the code. Scrimba lets you interact with the code inside the screencast whenever you want. This is a life-saver when you don’t fully understand the code, and need to play around with it to grasp it. It’s also great for when you simply want to copy a piece of code from the screencast to your local environment.
-
Adapts to your screen We adopt the content of the screencasts to your device. Small screen? We’ll increase the font size. Prefer watching in portrait instead of landscape? No worries, we’ll rearrange the content of the page so that it looks good.
-
Works great on slow internet A 200-megabyte video would weigh 2 megabytes as a Scrimba screencast. This means you can watch tutorials even when your internet connection is slow, for example when you’re commuting.
-
Never pixelated Scrimba screencasts are always 100% sharp. The resolution is infinite, meaning you’ll never see a pixelated coding screencast again.
-
Super easy to create We’ve removed all of the overhead involved in creating coding screencasts, so no more downloading, exporting, uploading and re-encoding. It’s all just a few clicks. By lowering the threshold for creating tutorials we hope that more people will share their skills.

Comments and Reviews
I haven't had time to use it in a while, but the concept is just awesome. Being able to instantly fiddle with the instructor's code in-place really makes a difference.
