Saccada information
What is Saccada?
Saccada is a browser-based eye movement practice tool combining EMDR bilateral stimulation patterns with traditional Indian eye exercises (Drishti Bheda from Natya Shastra) and generative audio. 12 eye movement patterns, each with its own sound profile synthesized in real-time via WebAudio API. No audio files, works offline. Optional webcam eye tracking using MediaPipe Face Landmarker adapts dot speed to your gaze and provides a heatmap after each session. All processing happens locally. Each pattern is labeled with its evidence level: researched, preliminary, or hypothesis. The project prioritizes transparency about what is supported by science and what is still exploratory. Features: 12 movement patterns, real-time audio synthesis (bilateral panning, binaural beats, tanpura drone, Tibetan singing bowl), webcam gaze tracking with adaptive speed, gaze heatmap and focus score, session history and progress tracking, 11 languages, PWA (works offline). Stack: React 19, TypeScript, Canvas 2D, WebAudio API, MediaPipe Face Landmarker, Zustand, Dexie.js. Deployed on Vercel. Free forever. No accounts, no servers, no telemetry. GPLv3.
