Comments and Reviews
Indeed, SABnzbd is the best binary newsreader out there.
Install, configure, and forget about it. It works like a charm. It's that simple. Beautiful.
one of the best free newsreaders out there!
Great program, takes all the headaches out of dealing with newsgroups
I've used countless binary newsreaders in both Linux and Windows environments. There's no question about it; SABnzbd takes the cake. The web interface is great for everything from simple download management, all the way to detailed setting configuration. The automation alone makes this program stand out in the crowd. The only effort required by the user is downloading the desired .nzb file. With SABnzbd add-ons for Firefox and extensions for Chrome now available, one mouse-click is all it takes before your browser detects the link and SABnzbd begins downloading. As soon as the download is complete, SABnzbd handles all PAR verification, file repair/recovery, and extraction automatically.
Works like a charm on both OS X and Linux! It's fully automated. Set it and forget it!
tried this on three different versions of linux and could NOT get it to work. I cannot recommend this.
