What is Root Certificate Updater?

Step 1: The latest root certificates from Microsoft are downloaded from this url: http://ctldl.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authroostl.cab

Step 2: The latest disallowed/revoked certificates are downloaded from Microsoft from this URL: http://ctldl.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/disallowedcertstl.cab

Step 3: Both CAB files are extracted to get the STL files within the archive

Step 4: The following two commands are run to import/apply the newly downloaded root certs: certutil -addstore -f root authroot.stl certutil -addstore -f disallowed disallowedcert.stl

If web address changes, search "RootCertificateUpdater.exe"
