What is Ribbit?

Ribbit is building a payment orchestration layer that makes subscriptions and recurring billing work globally, using programmable wallet mandates instead of cards.

With Ribbit, a customer authorizes a mandate once, and the business can automatically collect payments on a schedule or based on usage, like direct debit, but global and software- defined. Ribbit handles the full flow end-to-end: mandate creation, limits, retries, routing, settlement, and a unified ledger and dashboard for reconciliation. It plugs in via SDK and API, and we use our own wallet and extension as a live surface for distribution and testing.

We also add a proprietary payment primitive called yield-to-pay: balances that are waiting for upcoming bills can be routed into a low-risk yield, and payments are executed from those balances when due. This lets businesses and users keep funds productive instead of idle, and gives Ribbit a stronger revenue model than just transaction fees.
