What is RabbitGUI?

RabbitGUI is a desktop application for managing RabbitMQ instances through a modern graphical interface. It is designed as an alternative to the default RabbitMQ Management Plugin, offering a more responsive layout, improved navigation, and features aimed at developers.

With RabbitGUI, users can connect to and manage multiple RabbitMQ environments from a single workspace. It supports secure local credential storage, making it easy to switch between development, staging, and production servers without re-entering connection details.

The application provides structured views of queues, exchanges, bindings, and policies, allowing users to explore message flows and configurations in detail. A built-in JSON editor with syntax highlighting and autocompletion enables composing and publishing messages directly within the interface. For queues, RabbitGUI includes filtering, search, and bulk action capabilities, as well as tools for working with dead-letter queues, including the ability to selectively republish messages.

Monitoring features include a time-series view that charts message rates, queue sizes, and other key metrics over time, helping users identify trends and troubleshoot issues. Bindings and routing keys are presented in an interconnected way, making it easier to trace how messages move through the system.

RabbitGUI runs locally and does not require internet access once installed. It is a licensed, one-time-purchase tool with regular updates, positioned as a practical upgrade for teams that work with RabbitMQ on a daily basis and want a more efficient, full-featured management environment without changing their underlying broker setup.
