What is QualCoder?
A very complete free and Open Source Software (FOSS) Computer-Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS) written in Python. It works with text, images, and multimedia as audios and videos. It prepares a matrix for qualitative comparison and offers a network view of the coding and categories.
It has been developed on Ubuntu and works on Debian-based and other Linux distros (Fedora, Arch). Works on Microsoft Windows 10. It has been used on MacOS.
QualCoder can import/export files in a diverse range of formats.

Nice open-source software, but interface could be better.
Nice to see this open-source alternative to commercial QDA applications. It functions fairly well for basic projects. It is developing quickly and in a few years could be a very serious tool for qualitative analysis. Let's hope that more people get involved and support the development of QualCoder.
great open source and multi platform qda software. while still needing a bit of work it is already usable.
The software is efficient and powerful to perform the content analysis task. It allows you to follow the categories and classifications clearly. Facilitates thematic analysis. It is an excellent technology to implement a qualitative methodology. It is a 100% recommended software.
Currently the open source qualitative data analysis software that is most easy to use. Still, the interface is a bit cumbersome. Watch a demo on youtube or have a look at the manual to get started.
