Portfolio Estimator

Portfolio Estimator is an Intellectual Property Cost Estimation and analysis software, developed by Quantify IP, aimed at providing future cost estimation and IP portfolio analysis with various types of reports for Patents, Designs and Utility Models. Portfolio Estimator also allows users to import their own IP docketing data.

Functions and Features

Portfolio Estimator allows a user to import Patent portfolio data of any docketing system. Analysis can be performed across entire Patent portfolio or by selecting particular Patent families from the IP data. Portfolio Estimator adopts any of the filing routes from the Patent portfolio such as PCT or EPO.

Portfolio Estimator projects fees for any country, stage wise and based on particular attributes of the Patent (Number of Claims, Number of pages etc.). The stages include, filing, prosecution, grant and annuity. Those fees also be projected based on Official Fees and Associate fees. Portfolio Estimator allows a user to create groups and Patent families can be categorized by those groups. Cost projections also can be categorized by groups. There are three default groups that are pre-defined includes, technology, division and managers.

Reports

Few basic analysis that can be done by the program is listed below, as mentioned in the official webpage of Quantify IP.

Analysis by Patent grouping and county: Patent groups can be defined by the user in Portfolio Estimator program. This analysis categorises the cost by groups with respect to country.

Analysis by Patent family and country: This analysis generates reports based on Patent family and by country.

Individual Patent family totals:This report shows date wise, category wise Patent family totals.

Family details by country:There are two categories of reports have been generated under Family details by country, Summarized and detailed.

A user can customise the report generation options within the program.
