I have it on Linux. It's simple and it both generates an reads QR codes. It's not the best alternative because of two things. One; It's only available on Linux. Two; It only reads and generates QR code formats. For example, you can't use it to read a barcode.

Because it's finally a free, open source, offline QR generator that has a GUI. So far I used WiFi-QR which is CLI. Entering my data into some random website is a big no.
