What is Pitchi?

Pichi for Mac is the best and quickest tool for optimizing and resizing your images individually or in batches.

The fastest way to optimize and resize your images.

Pichi works just as you expect – open it up and drag your images onto the window to start optimizing. But it’s got an even faster way to work. Even when it’s closed, Pichi detects when you’re dragging images and provides a lightning-fast way to optimize them, right where you need it.

Turbo-boost your websites.

Images can take up a lot of space on a site, both visually and physically. If they haven’t been optimized or sized appropriately they’ll slow the site down, making for an unpleasant experience and potentially losing you money. Pichi can optimize and resize your images. It’ll compress them as much as it can and remove any unnecessary metadata, reducing the file size by up to a massive 80% 🎉

PNGs don’t need to be that big.

PNGs are great. They’re a lossless format so you know they’ll always look as good as the source. But boy are they BIG! With Pichi, PNGs, even transparent ones, can be made much smaller with no perceptible differences in quality. If you can wait a little longer for Pichi to process them, you can get even better results. (The PNG shown in the image was 192 KB when downloaded. Pichi optimized it to 84 KB.)

Better than the rest. You might be thinking, “Sure, but I already have a tool for this!” Well Pichi doesn't just make image optimization easier and faster, it also performs better, with smaller file sizes and images that look just as good as the originals.
