Pingify is a web3 startup creating digital identity for real-world belongings using customisable NFTs. Pingify's "NFT tags" contain a shareable URL that, when scanned with a phone, displays your NFT's encrypted on-chain data and allows the scanner to message the owner directly through their browser.

Each tag is set up via the Pingify app. Once configured, when someone scans an "NFT Tag" or sends a message via the URL, the owner's phone receives a notification—their item has been "pingified".

Pingify's vision is to foster fun exploration of blockchain technology. The app features a beginner-friendly custodial wallet for NFTs, so when users set up their tags, they've already interacted with the blockchain using their own wallet. The app is built to encourage education around blockchain—users can take quizzes and tutorials, earning accessories for their avatar.

What makes Pingify unique is that the entire system is powered exclusively by blockchain technology. Fetching, editing, and minting NFTs utilizes custom smart contracts on the Polygon PoS Chain, while end-to-end encrypted wallet-based messaging runs via a custom node on the Moki Network.
