What is Phone Finder?
How many times you have mis-placed your smart-phone and you try to call the number and hear the sound coming from to retrieve it. What if the smart-phone is set to silent mode or low volume at the point you mis-place? When you call the number you can barely hear it coming from the smart-phone leading to a long search time before you finally found it.
This app aim to resolve the problem. Instead of calling, you will have a special SMS text that act as a trigger code. When you mis-place again, you will SMS THAT special SMS text to your smart-phone. This app will then attempt to un-mute, set to maximum volume and keep ringing. This increase your chance of finding your mis-placed smart-phone.
To configure, tap Start to start the service. Enter your SMS trigger code. Enter the ringtone for alert. Tap save.
The application support English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese display.
Important points to note:
- The special SMS text that act as the trigger must be kept confidential and preferably not typical SMS content so that this app does not ring due to SMS from your contacts. Think of the SMS trigger code like a password.
