Pebbls information
What is Pebbls?
Pebbls is a simple way to keep a live, map-based diary of your travels. Start a journey, put your phone away, and the app quietly records your route in the background. Whenever something worth noting happens - a great view, a roadside café, a change in the weather - you can drop a “Pebbl”, adding a short note and up to five photos or a video right at that spot. Everything stays in order on one continuous map, so the story matches the places you visited.
The app is built for trips where mobile signal comes and goes. It stores your track and any Pebbls locally, then syncs them once you’re back online. Location updates are sent in small batches about every 15 minutes, which keeps battery use low enough for long cycling days, passages at sea or overnight trains.
Sharing is up to you. Keep the map private, share a link with a few friends, or make the journey public so others can follow in real time on the web. Exact coordinates can be hidden if you prefer. Pebbls focuses on the route and the stories along the way, not on speed, distance or step counts, making it a good fit for slow travellers, bikepackers, live-aboard sailors and long-term backpackers.
