What is Passfindr?
Passfindr is a web based premium Personal knowledge base, Password manager and Bookmark manager application to securely store passwords and other sensitive information in a virtual vault locked with individual master passwords. Passfindr was introduced 2001 as Pathfinder, releasing their first web based application that included a cloud based bookmark manager. Over time, more features were introduced to the application such as:
- Visual content editor
- Encryption of user created content with a unique 256-bit AES key derived from the user's master password using PBKDF2
- Password generator
- Full-text search of all text content
- Two-factor authentication via authenticator apps
- Progressive web application to allow content decryption when offline
- Content publishing, tagging and cross linking
- Link checker
- Reminders







Comments and Reviews
I recommend to avoid this app. I'd never trust a non-FOSS product with my passwords or PII/PKM data, as there's no way to confirm their E2E encryption is implemented following best practices.
The website also says it's free. If it's free, why is the code not public? Something doesn't add up with this one.
