My first indication of their existence was when they tweeted me that they had created a profile for my website, which they would not let me see (except a small preview at the left) without registering for their site. The preview included a screenshot of how my website looked in June (it is now September), and they got the name wrong.
From their FAQ page:
Can I Request Owler Remove My Company’s Profile?
Our mission is to provide information on all of the companies in the land;, it doesn’t fit with our policy to remove a company profile. However, we’re absolutely committed to ensuring the data about a company is accurate.
They will, however, reuse URLs if they ever take down a company profile, so people looking for one profile may find another.
