What is Ordinary Objects?

Ordinary Objects is a prototyping platform designed specifically for mixed reality and spatial computing applications. The software allows designers to create interactive prototypes that utilize both plane anchors, which enable interactions with physical surfaces, and spatial anchors, which support mid-air interactions. The platform includes features such as animated states, trigger and action systems, real-time preview capabilities, and collaborative editing tools that synchronize changes across team members instantly. Ordinary Objects supports importing 3D assets (.GLB), audio files (.WAV/.MP3 with spatial audio), and standard image formats (.PNG/.JPG) for creating mixed reality prototypes. The software is available as native applications for macOS and Windows, with companion mirror apps for Quest 3 and iOS devices for testing prototypes in actual mixed reality environments.
